We are pleased to announce that following the Government announcement yesterday, we are planning to re-open our full timetable of physical in-person classes from Wednesday 2nd December 2020. You can view our current timetable HERE
Our booking system is now open HERE. As before, this booking system is working on a three week rolling availability, so more classes become available each day.
We will still be offering our online Zoom sessions but these will revert back to the previous Zoom Timetable. We will send out further details and new codes for these classes later this week.
Due to the updated guidance, we are able to continue with our original planned grading timetable, giving every student a chance to attend a grading across two different weekends or a Zoom Online grading.

ESKA was able to hold it’s first Kata competition in 10 months on Saturday 24th October at The Dojo Norwich and was open to members 13 years and under. The competition was held under strict social distance guidelines and gave the junior members a chance to compete in both Heian and Tokui events.

We hope you and your family are well and we would like to thank you for your support during these very difficult times.
With the announcement from the Government regarding the new lockdown restrictions, we have no alternative but to stop all our physical classes from Thursday 5th November 2020 until Thursday 3rd December 2020. From Thursday 3rd December 2020, we will revert back to our normal current physical and Zoom timetable.
For the next four weeks we will be moving all our classes online and increasing our class capacity for all members. There will be no need to book onto the online classes and there are no restrictions to class numbers. We are also adding an ‘All Grades’ class on Saturday and Sunday at 12:30pm, giving the opportunity for different grades to train together in the same class.
A total of 42 classes have been scheduled to try and give each member the best opportunity to train and work towards the December gradings and beyond.

Junior, Adult and Tiny Tigers will have the option to physically grade at The Dojo Norwich or online using the Zoom platform. To ensure everyone has the best experience possible and due to social distancing measures at The Dojo Norwich, we are limiting the number of people that are able to grade in each session so booking is essential.
Please note that members will be allowed one spectator to accompany them to the physical grading at The Dojo Norwich. Spectators will be required to wear a face covering whilst inside the building. Members who are grading will not be required to wear a face covering.

There is not a requirement to have your Kihon, Kata or Kumite elements signed off on your training card for this grading. Your instructor will advise if they feel you are eligible to grade. Each lesson you attend is recorded electronically after each class. We are currently developing a member’s online portal which will be live in the next few weeks. This portal will allow members to monitor the amount of classes they have attended, in the meantime please carry on recording your lessons manually.

We are pleased to announce the TSKUK will be holding our 2nd Online Zoom Members National Course of 2020 on Sunday 1st November.
This course will give the TSKUK members a chance to train together again, ensuring that we continue our karate development, cooperation and community, even though we are unable to physically train next to one another.
The course will be run by Sensei Alan Parrish 7th Dan, Sensei Jason Hitchings 6th Dan, Sensei Nathan Bond 5th Dan, Sensei Carol Parrish 4th Dan, Sensei Dan Jones 5th Dan, Sensei Charlie Tarr 4th Dan, Sensei Marites Tomlinson 5th Dan & Sensei Dave Lynskey 3rd Dan.

On Sunday 27th September 2020, ESKA members attended the TSKUK Course and Black Belt Grading in Canvey Island – Essex. Following the 1 hour training course a grading took place in front of a panel including Sensei Alan Parrish 7th Dan, Sensei Jason Hitchings 6th Dan, Sensei Nathan Bond 5th Dan and Sensei Carol Parrish 4th Dan. Years of dedicated training and commitment resulted in a very successful grading with 20 students achieving their 1st Dan Black Belt and 1 student achieving their 2nd Dan Black Belt.
