Karate competitions focus on the two disciplines of Kata and Kumite. These can be done as individuals, teams and can even alternate in some events.

ESKA runs our own interclub competitions as a way to introduce our members to competitive Karate. We also give our students the opportunity to compete and National and International Competitions throughout the year, both representing ESKA and Great Britain through the TSKUK.

To help our students prepare for competitions, we hold Squad classes at The Dojo Norwich every week. It is from these classes ESKA has produced National and International medallists – many of which you can find on our teaching team!

Squad classes are open to all ESKA members aged 6+ who are Red Belt (9th Kyu) or above.

These weekly 1-hour sessions are included within your membership and count as a lesson towards your next grading. Squad classes provide an excellent opportunity to develop technique, focus and confidence through more targeted competition-focused training.

Sessions can be booked weekly as part of your membership.

Sessions run every Friday from 6:15pm  – 7:15pm at The Dojo Norwich.
