🥇 ONLINE KATA COMPETITION 🥇
We are pleased to launch our 2nd Online Individual and Family Kata Competition.
This competition will be free of charge to all ESKA members and the deadline for entries will be Sunday 21st February and winners will be announced on Tuesday 23rd February.
Here are the categories and details of how to enter. There will be medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place entries which will be posted out to the winners.
Categories:
  • Heian Kata
(You can choose from any one of the five Heian Kata for your entry).
  • Tokui Kata
(You can choose from any Shotokan Kata for your entry. This can be the same entry as your Heian Kata entry but must be a separate recording of the kata).
Both of the above events will be split into the following categories:
Junior (Up to 13 yrs):
White – Orange Belt
Yellow – Purple and White Belt
Brown Belt
Black Belt
Cadets and Seniors (14 yrs +)
White – Orange Belt
Yellow – Purple and White Belt
Brown Belt
Black Belt
  • Family Team Kata
You can choose from any Shotokan Kata for your entry. The Family Team can have two or three team members within your family bubble. At least one team member must be a member of ESKA but other team members do not need to have previous karate experience. There is no age / grade restrictions for this category.

• entries must be submitted in video format and emailed to office@eska.co.uk directly or by using wetransfer.com

• You can wear their Karate Gi but this is not compulsory and shoes if performed outside.
• You can enter as many categories as you want but you must submit a separate video per category.
• When sending in your kata please let us know if you are happy for us to share the video on our social media platforms.
• You can either do the kata in complete and correct form, but if space is an issue we will accept adaptions for these restrictions.
• Medals will be presented for the top 3 chosen by the ESKA Senior instructors. Winners will receive their medal by post.
• Winners will be announced 23rd February.
