Sensei Tom Kompier 7th Dan
Sensei Tom Kompier entered the JKA Instructors Course in 1998 and lived and trained in Japan for many years. Following residing in Japan, Tom Sensei then taught professionally in Switzerland before returning to Japan to pursue a career as a diplomat. He now lives in The Hague and regularly teaches in Amsterdam. Tom Sensei teaches the Japanese style Shotokan with its strong emphasis on correct form and the typical Kihon-Kata-Kumite tradition. Although it’s Japanese style Shotokan that Tom Sensei Kompier favours, he still maintains his undeniable European or Western approach to ‘teaching’ the art. Tom Kompier is a very modest, humble guy with a great attitude and excellent technique and currently holds the rank of 7th Dan.
Sensei Alan Parrish 7th Dan
Sensei Alan Parrish started training Shotokan Karate in 1974 in Hadleigh, Essex, teaching professionally since 1994; and is the Chief Instructor of Westwood Karate Academy and is the Co-Founder of TSKUK.
