September Grading Dates – Booking Now Open

The September Grading dates have now been confirmed as:

Saturday 12th September – Physical Grading at The Dojo Norwich (Booking Deadline 11:30 pm Wednesday 9th September)

Sunday 13th September – Physical Grading at The Dojo Norwich (Booking Deadline 11:30 pm Wednesday 9th September)

Saturday 19th September – Online Zoom Grading (Booking Deadline 11:30 pm Wednesday 16th September)

Sunday 20th September – Online Zoom Grading (Booking Deadline 11:30 pm Wednesday 16th September)

As Tiny Tiger classes are currently only available online, all Tiny Tiger Gradings will be conducted online only via Zoom.

 

Junior and Adult students will have the option to physically grade at The Dojo Norwich or online, using the Zoom platform. To ensure everyone has the best experience possible and due to social distancing measures at The Dojo Norwich, we are limiting the number of people that are able to grade in each session.

Please note that members will be allowed one spectator to accompany them to the physical grading at The Dojo Norwich. Spectators will be required to wear a face covering whilst inside the building. Members who are grading will not be required to wear a face covering.

 

Grading Criteria

Tiny Tigers

White to Red T Shirts – 10 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Red to Orange T Shirts – 12 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Orange to Yellow T Shirts – 12 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Yellow to Green T Shirts – 12 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Green to Purple T Shirts – 12 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Purple to Brown T Shirts – 12 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Brown to Black T Shirts – 24 Lessons including a minimum of 7 Junior lessons (No minimum time period)

 

Junior / Adult Karate

White to Red Belt – 10 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Red to Orange Belt – 12 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Orange to Yellow Belt – 16 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Yellow to Green Belt – 16 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Green to Purple Belts – 24 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Purple to Purple and White Belts – 24 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Purple and White to Brown Belts – 24 Lessons (No minimum time period)

Brown to Brown and White Belt – 36 Lessons (25% Reduction) (6 Month minimum time period)

Brown and White to Brown and Double White Belt – 36 Lessons (25% Reduction) (6 Month minimum time period)

 

There is not a requirement to have your Kihon, Kata or Kumite elements signed off on your training card for this grading. Your instructor will advise if they feel you are eligible to grade. Each lesson you attend is recorded electronically after each class. We are currently developing a member’s online portal which will be live in the next few weeks. This portal will allow members to monitor the amount of classes they have attended, in the meantime please carry on recording your lessons manually.

 

Private Gradings

We will once again be offering private gradings, both physical and online for two weeks (Monday 14th September – Sunday 27th September, subject to availability).
For private gradings the combined cost of the grading fee and the Personal Tuition Session will be payable.
