Syllabus Training for
3 months training period and 15 lessons
Heian Sandan
All attacks and blocks must be performed on one side only (both attacks and blocks will be performed from the left side).
One-Attack Sparring
Attack: Jodan (head punch)
Defence: Age Uke (head block) / counter Gyaku Zuki (reverse punch)
Attack: Chudan (stomach punch)
Defence: Soto Uke (outside block) / counter Gyaku Zuki (reverse punch)
Attack: Mae Geri (front kick)
Defence: Gedan Barai (groin block) / counter Gyaku Zuki (reverse punch)
Students are expected to complete the required syllabus independently from the instructions given, without counting, demonstrations or individual guidance. If a serious error is made, the student may be given up to two further attempts after the error has been explained. If a further attempt is required, the maximum mark available for that element is a Credit.
If a serious error requires a further formal attempt, the maximum Kihon mark available is Credit.
The student achieves a Credit by meeting either of the following standards:

If a serious error requires a further formal attempt, the maximum Kumite mark available is Credit.
The student is unable to complete the required Kihon correctly after their initial attempt and the two permitted further attempts.
The student is unable to complete Heian Sandan correctly after their initial attempt and the two permitted further attempts.
The student is unable to complete the required one-step sparring correctly after their initial attempt and the two permitted further attempts.
