We will be holding our Junior Kata Competition on Saturday 24th October 2020 at The Dojo Norwich, 6 Burton Road, NR6 6AX
Competition Entry Fee: £15
There will be 3 categories:
Red Belt – Yellow Belt
Green Belt – Purple & White Belt
Brown Belt & Above
For each category there will be 2 events, Heian Kata & Tokui (Favourite) Kata. Entry to this competition includes both events. There will be awards presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
This competition is open to Juniors (6 – 13 years old) only.
Category numbers will be limited to 24 competitors on a first come first served basis so that all social distancing guidelines can be met safely.

Following a recent review there will be a new timetable for physical classes taking place at The Dojo Norwich from Tuesday 1st September 2020. A small number of lower attended classes have been merged and we have added classes that have regularly had a waiting list. To ensure everyone has the best experience possible and due to social distancing measures at The Dojo Norwich, we are limiting the number of people that are able to grade in each session.

There is not a requirement to have your Kihon, Kata or Kumite elements signed off on your training card for this grading. Your instructor will advise if they feel you are eligible to grade. Each lesson you attend is recorded electronically after each class. We are currently developing a member’s online portal which will be live in the next few weeks. This portal will allow members to monitor the amount of classes they have attended, in the meantime please carry on recording your lessons manually.
We will once again be offering private gradings, both physical and online for two weeks (Monday 14th September – Sunday 27th September, subject to availability).
For private gradings the combined cost of the grading fee and the Personal Tuition Session will be payable.

After the great news that The Dojo Norwich is reopening for physical classes on Monday 27th July 2020, we want to update members with some social distancing, cleaning and safety measures we have implemented for your safe return to training. These include:

We are delighted to announce that Face-to-Face Personal Tuition lessons will be available at The Dojo Norwich from Monday 27th July 2020. Social Distancing measures will be in place to ensure the safety of both yourself and the instructor, including maintaining a 2 metre distance at all times. Hand sanitiser will be available to use both prior to and after the lesson. Each Personal Tuition lesson will be worth 3 lesson stamps to count towards your next grading. You will be able to book Face-to-Face Personal lessons up to the 31st August. September dates will be made available over the next few weeks and we will notify members via email.

We are also continuing to offer Virtual Personal Tuition lessons via Zoom. Each Virtual Personal Tuition lessons will last 1 hour and a recording of the entire lesson will also be sent to the student. Each Virtual Personal Tuition lessons will be worth 3 lesson stamps and cards will be updated when normal classes resume.
Your instructor will contact you directly to confirm your booking. Once confirmed, you will be sent an invoice via email, which must be paid at least 24 hours before the Personal Tuition lesson start time. Any cancellations must be made 24 hours before the start of your Virtual Personal Tuition lesson; if cancelled later than this, you will be charged for the Personal Tuition lesson.
When your payment has been received, you will receive an email with the Zoom meeting ID, password and the time and date of your Virtual Personal Tuition lesson. You will need to download Zoom, so if you have not done so already, you can download the App at https://zoom.us/download
